Anne Jennison’s performance of traditional Northeast Native American storytelling is a wonderful way to celebrate the rich and diverse cultural traditions of Native Americans. Anne’s storytelling performances feature stories from Abenaki and other Northeast Woodlands Indigenous traditions – and usually begin with a greeting song, accompanied by her rattle or frame drum. Audiences are invited to join Anne in singing, creating a sense of community for sharing the storytelling. Listeners are taken on a spell-binding & entertaining journey through a series of traditional stories that could explain everything from “How Turtle Flew South for Winter” to “How Moose Put the Falls in the Merrimack” to “The Great Battle Between Chipmunk and Bear” or “How Hummingbird Put the Stars in the Sky” - and more. Prepare for an interactive storytelling experience filled with humor, drama, and moments of wonder!
