VIRTUAL Author Visit with K. Woodman-Maynard, The Great Gatsby Graphic Novelist

Formerly local graphic designer and artist K. Woodman-Maynard presents on the process of adapting The Great Gatsby into graphic novel form as part of Wilmington's Community Reads programming.
K. Woodman-Maynard is a graphic novelist and graphic designer who is versatile in a diverse range of mediums and styles. Her graphic novel debut, The Great Gatsby (Candlewick Press) was featured in The New York Times and The Guardian, and called, “hugely rewarding” by The Wall Street Journal. She is co-creator of TKAMI: Talk to Kids About Mental Illness, a free resource for helping adults talk to kids about mental illness through comics. She studied animation at Harvard and worked as an animator in San Francisco before moving into comics and design. She lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband and very vocal cat. She loves to experiment in the kitchen and hit the trails by ski or foot.
