Julie Chen, Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at UMass Lowell, will talk about the university’s plans to open a new Fabric Discover Center this year, focusing on the development, testing, and manufacturing of consumer and commercial fabrics that are blended with flexible electronics. The fabrics incorporate sensors and technology to help industries, hospitals, the military and consumers.
