Virtual Event: Native Seed Balls!

Monday, February 17:00—8:00 PMVirtual Event via Zoom

Native wildflowers have declined greatly due to loss of habitat resulting in a decline in our native pollinators – insects, birds, bats, and other animals. In this workshop, you will learn the process of making and distributing native seed balls, which are a great way to restore native plants to disturbed areas. Seed packets and materials will be available for pick up prior to the program. Presented by Ginger Laurits, a Maine Master Gardener Volunteer and volunteer for Wild Seed Project www.wildseedproject.net.

Please register via Zoom.

After registering, please email Assistant Director Charlotte Wood (cwood@wilmlibrary.org) Specify the type of seed packet you want:
1. sunny dry sites
2. sun/part shade, medium to moist sites
3. shady/dry to medium sites
4. sunny, wet sites/drainage ditches.

The packets may be picked up at the library the week of January 25 via curbside service.
