William Sargent, a NOVA consultant and author of several books including, The Plum Island Story: 4,000 Years on a Barrier Beach, will discuss the erosion on Plum Island that occurred in March 2013 when six houses were lost and several condemned or were in imminent danger. This is only one part of the larger story of how coastal communities must inevitably come to grips with the impact of the sea level rise on our ever-warming planet.
