Going Native: Low Maintenance Trees and Shrubs

Thursday, May 317:00—8:30 PMStewart RoomWilmington Memorial Library175 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA, 01887

Native trees and shrubs evolved in New England without our help; they adapted to hot, dry summers and cold winters, are resistant to browsing deer and local insects, they attract birds and butterflies, and add color to your landscape. Cultivars of native plants have changed the face of natives--expanding the color palette and options for the gardener. Led by Betty Sanders who is a widely recognized speaker on gardening and environmental subjects, is a Lifetime Master Gardener and a nationally accredited floral design judge.
