Family Mindfulness: Sensory Awareness through Engaging Activities

Saturday, March 29:30—10:30 AMStewart RoomWilmington Memorial Library175 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA, 01887

This class for parents and their infants, toddlers or preschoolers will help parents learn to use mindfulness in their own lives as well as with children. We will also learn how to help them help their family be more aware and in the present moment. Mindfulness can help people of all ages increase their attention span, focus and concentration, improve memory, better social functioning, self esteem, reduce stress, and can improve relationships. The class helps parents to experience what mindfulness is and to show caregivers/parents how to use it in their lives in a practical way. In the class we do simple and fun activities to encourage mindfulness and relaxation so that everyone can see it in action. Props are used to engage in sensory activities and to learn how to be more mindful.
