Howie Newman, a former sportswriter for the Lowell Sun, Boston Globe and Patriot Ledger, will sing baseball songs, offer up baseball trivia and talk about his days on the Red Sox beat. He has remained an avid fan, having visited 91 major and minor league ballparks. Newman, who did three years of radio color commentary for the Lowell Spinners, will also hold a free raffle for his two baseball CDs, Baseball’s Greatest Hits, Volumes 1 and 2. In addition, he will sing some classic songs from yesteryear.
