Unfortunately, Lea Berman had to cancel due to health issues.  Instead, Bill Littlefield of Only a Game will speak.

You know the old adage “it isn’t whether you win or lose, but how you play the game”, in other words, good sportsmanship counts.   Bill Littlefield, recently retired host of public radio’s sports show Only A Game , will speak about the importance of sportsmanship and its close kin civility.   Bill will detail examples of good sportsmanship that he has witnessed throughout his over 25 years covering sports and of various forces in sports militating against good sportsmanship. A graduate of Yale University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Bill Littlefield taught English at Curry College for 39 years and served as writer-in-residence there.
